I love words
In fact, language in all its forms has fascinated me throughout my entire life. It might sound a bit clichéd, but the written word is one of the great loves of my life.

From the moment I learned to read, I never stopped. My favourite books are fantasy novels. As a child, I devoured them – I spent entire weekends under the covers riding dragons in Alagaësia, travelling through Middle Earth with Hobbits and saving Hogwarts from the Dark Lord.

As my fascination for words grew and evolved, at some point I realized (somewhat against my will 🙈) that I really liked languages. And since I always knew that I didn’t want to become a teacher and that I didn’t want to simply study a foreign language, I decided to pursue a translation degree at the University of Graz.

One master’s degree and 2.5 years in Ireland later, I realized: If I wanted to turn my passion into a career, I’d have to go freelance. After trying out several different things initially, I soon realized that the creative aspects of transcreation are what I truly enjoy – and what I’m best at. 😎

Over the years, I have acquired new interests and did a lot of CPD in the fields of SEO and marketing before arriving at my current offer: Transcreation. Copywriting. Tone of voice consulting and style guide creation. And the reason for that is simple: I wan to put my creativity to good use and offer my clients true value.

Okay! Firstly: I hate clothes shopping, but I absolutely love cooking. However, when I’m stressed out, it’s the first thing I remove from my to do list.
In my free time, I like to read, do jigsaw puzzles, chill in front of the TV or am out and about with my dog Lucy.
And yes, I have a secret dream, too: I’d love to write a fantasy epic one day – ideally with dragons. 🤩
